Faculty Senate
The Maine Maritime Faculty is organized for governance as the Maine Maritime
Academy Faculty Senate. The purpose of the Faculty Senate is to establish,
maintain, and review the Academic Policy of Maine
Maritime Academy. Faculty serve on standing, adjunct, and ad
hoc committees to carry out the
business of the
Faculty Senate. It is expected that all faculty will participate
in the governance of the institution through their participation in the
Faculty Senate.
Members of the Faculty Senate are those individuals with full time academic
appointments, those who have instructional duties of at least six credit
hours per semester, the Librarian, and the Assistant Librarians.
The Academic Dean is an ex officio member. Those individuals with
part-time instructional duties of less than six credit hours per semester
shall be non-voting members of the Faculty Senate.
